Blend description:

The Clear Upper Wind/Phlegm tincture is based on Ban Xia Bai Zhu Tian Ma Wan, a blend used in traditional Chinese medicine.056

A classic Chinese medicine mixture that disperses Nei Feng (internal wind) and removes Shi and Tan (moisture and mucus). Due to weakened spleen Qi, the body begins to produce moisture and mucus. The weakened spleen cannot push this moisture and mucus out of the body, and it gradually begins to ascend into the head, where it begins to accumulate. In the case of weakening Gan Xue (liver blood), the body creates so-called Nei Feng (internal wind), which also begins to rise into the head, where it combines with moisture and mucus.

Effects according to Chinese medicine:

  • transforms Tan (mucus) and soothes Nei Feng (inner wind)
  • draws Gan Yang down (Yang rising from the liver)
  • strengthens Pi/Wei Qi (spleen and stomach Qi)
